Seafoam it. I was chasing down similar issues with my 97 and found this helpful. Run it through the fuel, oil and intake to clean the gunk out. You will need new plugs afterward.

Get ready to smoke out the hood!

    Seafoam is Awesome!
I used it last month for a stuck injector after my Jeep sat for the hot months.

The misfire code returned, I want to try the seafoam road before I start a leakdown test, so what's the best ratio (seafoam to fuel) that will give better results, should I follow instructions on can or ??? . thank you in advance for your input. J Fig

For some reason this does not seem like the proper way to use it.

It works where it is needed and on things it can help free up, if you have mechanical issues it will not fix it. I have used it many times and helped clean up old engines, good stuff.

I'm going to use it on my 2000 F250 V10. I only have 105K on the engine after 20 years of owning it, lots of short distance driving mostly.
