    Go Pro alternatives

    Hello everyone,
Just trying to gather information but looking for alternatives for a gopro. I have a hero 4 and i think its pretty good for my usage but im wondering what else is out there and what your experiences are?
Price, features and warranties are important variables.
Thank you everyone for any input you can provide.

I've been using Contour cameras for quite awhile. Less expensive than GoPro and more compact. Down side is no viewfinder, but there are apps available for Apple, Android and Windows phones (which I've not tried). I've been happy with the video quality and ease of use. http://contour.com/cameras

http://www.virtualjeepclub.com/showt...light=faux+pro Several of us have these and honestly for the money they are decent. If you lose it or damage it no biggie.

+1 on the Contour. Great value and takes a beating, used to wear one on my helmet back in the dirt bike days. Contour field of view is also slightly narrower, you don’t get the weird lack of depth/fisheye effect you get on GoPro. Been using a couple of GoPro Session cameras (small black cube GoPro) on Heep, nice cameras just need to wheel more.

Look on Craigslist, there are usually some good deals on used GoPros, especially after a new model comes out.

I used the session 4 hero so far exclusively for dirt bike riding. Its so small it tucks in nicely under my helmet visor. Works well, battery life good. If I didnt have one I'd likely go another route. Trying to stay away from Chinese stuff where I can.

    Re: Go Pro alternatives

I orded a Dragon Touch action camera bake in April to mount on my Harley for a ride up north. It works well for what I have used it for but have to film with no sound because the bike is too loud to get any good sound quality. The picture is great and it comes with a remote control. I will be doing more testing and filming while wheeling. But I am very happy with it so far and it was $50 on Amazon.

The material that comes with the camera says 1080P, the recording I have done with it looks good. I have included a snapshot from a ride video in Pine (I can't get a video to attach).

That looks pretty good. Not that fish bowl look from the gopro.

Here is the info from Amazon. If anyone orders it be sure to watch for the review offer. If you post a review and send them proof they send you free accessories. I got an extra charger and 2 batteries, my buddy took the extra underwater attachments. It is a great deal and I am happy with the camera.
