Modernization of the ESA. Need to watch this one closely.

    https://cronkitenews.azpbs.org/2018/...inction-bills/

We need to watch this action closely. If the Tortoise ends up on the list, we are screwed!

There may be other species that can hurt us as well, I just don't know what they are at this time.

This movement is bipartisan and has momentum. I've looked through all 9 bills and did not see the tortoise listed. If you can think of any other species that would/could result in trail closures of any kind, please post them here so I can watch for them too.

    Because OHV is causing extinction.

It has nothing to do with nano particulate dispersions going on overhead. It has nothing to do with EMF and RF radiation. It has nothing to do with nuclear radiation from testing, and meltdown. It has nothing to do with the fact that UV-C is now being detected.

The oceans are dying. Is it because of too many boats? Are OHVs to blame for the rapid decline in global insect population?

Buy a colony of bees. Place the hive under your ďsmart meterĒ. See how long it takes for the entire colony to die.

Everything is going to crap because of government mismanagement. Letís just keep inflating it to the point that they openly practice democide here in America.

Look at the top of the article.

    Government / Sustainability

Where have I heard that before. Oh yeah, the lovely UN and their sustainable development plan to restrict human activity outside of densely populated cities.

Iím going to shut up now...

I appreciate the passion, I really do.

The one positive thing I've found in this is they seem to be taking some of the restrictions off the cattlemen where their grazing is concerned. That should lower the price the beef, and stop the beef from south of the border immigrating up here.

Right now, we have Ryan Zinke on our side. Contact him whenever you think something is wrong. He is pro land use.

Iím just to the point where Iím sick of these campaigns by the OHV community ASKING the BLM not to close and restrict land. Itís time to fight them. Not appease and beg. If itís not W. DC or an established military fort, itís not the fedís say!

Writing the white house and asking for the abolishment of the EPA and possibly even the BLM is a good place to start. And now is the time.

There is a group I just signed up with called the "The Convention of States". I'm still in the early stages of learning what it's all about, but I'm liking it so far. The States would be able to force congress to make the hard cuts to pay the debt and balance the budget. In that case, they would have to cut the EPA, BLM and Forest Service. Maybe even the national parks. Give it all tot he states to maintain. But, this is not the first time movements like this have been tried. I think ten states are on board right now. They need 34.

I do agree that now is the time. Funny that there needs to be a convention of states to take back the powers the Fed has stolen. States donít have rights, they have powers! People have rights. The federal gov has responsibilities. Bout time we set that straight!

    Sign up here:

    https://conventionofstates.com/

Then contact your state representative. AZ is not on board yet. Which I find surprising.

All very good info thank you all. I always want to get evolved but I have the hardest time understanding legal mombo-jumbo.

HUMANS (Ö but due to overpopulation and selfish behavior, not being an endangered species)

Anyone on here live in Prescott? Paul Gosar is heavily involved with this. Can someone up there contact him through his website and ask him for the list of species that are being considered for the list? Or, PM me your zip code and address and I'll ask him myself.

I hope I'm wrong, but this has the hairs on the back on neck tingling! It the Tortoise ends up on the lists, it's game over. Even the BLM would be helpless in keeping trails open. Competitive events in tortoise habitat would end as well.
Everything we use, as far as trails go, whether racing or rock climbing, is tortoise habitat.

See the federal register notices on this page. (the links)

Just to show you how real this can be, look at page 18411 in this link, top center.

    https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-201...2017-07942.pdf

This was one person's attempt to move the tortoise to the endangered list. This attempt was back in 2002, but I have no way of knowing if a new attempt is being done through this "modernization".

Re: Modernization of the ESA. Need to watch this one closely.

The BLM once set up a sanctuary for the ďendangered desert tortoiseĒ. The rounded up thousands and relocated them. Once funding dried up, they euthanized the ďendangered tortoisesĒ.

These overreaches will get worse and more frequent as we approach 2030.
