Hopefully someone in the VJC will grab it.

It seems like a smoking price to me too. It would take almost twice that asking price for me to part with my CJ7.

Please go take a look at it, and, if you do not buy it for yourself, report back to the rest of us on your findings.

why waste the guys time looking at it and not serious about buying it? if just looking, he provided some pics on craiglist. Hate looky loos.

Every "looky loo" is a potential buyer.

Cars are kind of like puppies. I've never looked at a puppy that I haven't taken home.

no, not really, some maybe but dreamers and wishes do not turn into sales. if your serious call but this guy is probably busy like the rest of us and is not looking for b.s... the price is great and he should be able to sell quick and for cash.

I think it's a legit price. There is a major mechanical issue and that would lower the asking the price. If I had the money, it'd be broke down in my yard right now instead of his!

Very decent price, but for anything other than street use, T5 is absolute ticking grenade. Yes, just sold Scrambler with one that I drove (absolute kid gloves) 3 years. Only bought because Scrambler, so I could use and make money ( about $400 + lots of elbow grease, doubled purchase price of $5,000 ... had people lining up, offering over asking price of 10K but I committed to sale...made flawess trip at 70mph + to North East Colorado... buyer's wife extatically happy)

For $3500..., gives, room to sell T5 (hot market because THEY EXPLODE), swap in a 999 automatic. Would never get money back though. With 999 (assuming has perfect running 258), $4500 max. "Can't drive" = veeeery concerning (who can't drive without a clutch,). If I can't drive, EVERYTHING (trans, xfercase, axles) is scrap iron.

My .02. (Needs locker in rear too) ;-)

Would be the first 258 with 8 cylinders I've ever seen!!
