I know a lot of people have done this swap but I just wanted to document my adventures. Front is a Ford super duty D60 out of a '03 F350. Rear is a 14 bolt 10.5" out of '04 2500HD. The plan is to do the Artec JK truss/swap kit on both axles and use Ballistic Fab 14 bolt shave kit. Will run 5.38's with Eaton e-lockers on 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers.

Aren't the tone rings an issue? Thought the Sterling rear axle played nicer with JKs

Artec makes a tone ring kit. Just turn the hub down a bit. The problem with the sterling 10.5 is that it's offset to the passenger a bit, so it interferes with the JK gas tank.

Do you think a older one corporate 14 bolt would be better no ribs...? Just curious...

The newer AAM ones are supposed to be stronger, and Artec's kit is only for the "ribbed" axle. They use it as a jig for the kit. I talked to them about using the kit on the older ones and they said you can use it but the truss would need modified a little and you'd have to measure good to align the brackets correctly.

Started my SD - TJ build over a year ago, since then many aftermarket parts have become available and growing daily. These are the new premier one ton axles for Jeep swaps!

We have a family friend that does sand blasting so he's going to do my axle on Wednesday. This thing is way to heavy and awkward to take it out of the truck and put it back within a week. So here I sit crammed under the tonneau cover removing the brakes and steering components, lol.

Got the front back from sand blasting:

I sprayed a light coat of paint on it to keep the rust from coming back:

I highly recommend everyone remove parts in these contorted positions, good for my business!
