Re: SOA 92 Wrangler will take forever

Ive had the SYE already so thats checked off the list.
Gonna check out some knuckles tomorrow so ill that to the list. Might as well get a steering box brace while im at it, ive been running my durango box for some time already without one.
Still need another set of spring perches, might just go with the RE HD springs to help with anti wrap. Another tube of DOM for my drag link and im sure ill add more to the list.

The cross member and the skid plate are the same thing on my heap. Potayto, patahto.

I still say that without moving the axle back the drop is needed, even with the SYE. But that's just my opinion.

Ah ok. Looking to see what people are using for spring over. Im leaning towards military wrap or the reverse eye spings to help with anti wrap.
Spoke with Overseas yesterday and it looks like i will be going with a Reid high steer knuckle so im not piecing chevy and ford parts. I think i will start a parts list on the first page.

The amount of lift you get from a SOA conversion (assuming current springs are used) is the sum of the following:

    - Thickness of your spring packs
    - Height of current spring-under perches
    - Axle tube diameter
    - Height of new spring-over perches

The total is usually around 6" but can vary depending of springs and perches used as well as the axles used if you do an axle swap. When I did my SOA conversion, I swapped in a front Dana 44 that had a larger axle tube diameter than my original Dana 30 so that netted me some extra lift.
