    Tires again

So I tore up two tires this weekend on the trail. It is time for some new ones. I have MTr/k on there right now and I have not been super impressed. I dont put many miles on it so I don't really care about longevity. I haven't kept up on tires lately so is there anything I should look at? 40's

I really like Nitto Trail Grapplers. I think they also come in 40s.

I've been pretty happy with the Nitto Trail Grapplers I'm running. I cut three MTRk's in a year.

In the market as well. Mine were hard and did not hook up very well. Looking at maxxis trepadors DOT competition. There are 4 models but since I trailer may be the way to go. Sticky yet street legal...tempting

I think i'm going maxxis as I don't drive much on street and wont need a spare with the Bias, but I'll leave it in the truck

    Re: Tires again

There are at last 3 Trepadors that I can find. Radial, bias and bias competition. They are all DOT compliant. I am only interested in the Bias ones

    Re: Tires again

I think that I read somewhere that Firestone Wilderness All Terrain tires have exceptionally good traction on the kinds of surfaces one might encounter when (just as a totally random example) attempting to climb a telephone pole.
