    Ford Vacuum hub puller?

So on my 98 ranger, I have the vacuum hubs ford put on them/F250/F350 for a few years. There is a tool you can use from ford to pull them, since a few guys here have ford trucks wondering if anybody has the tool.

    Looks like this:

if somebody has one, can I borrow it this weekend? I called auto zone, and they don't have one to rent. There are other ways to remove the hubs, but the tool seems to be the fastest/easiest way to do it.

Looks like Napa sells them. Anyone know if Napa rents them?

I have pullers, they won't work, you have to have something that lifts up on the 12 tabs at the same time, then use a slide hammer to pull it off.

This has a better picture with the 6 bars that lift up the tabs on the hub:

if nobody has one, I can use bailing wire, fish that under each tab, and lift up using that, but that's a lot more work, especially to pry it off, but that costs me a few pennies of wire, vs $70 for what will be probably a one time use.

Yeah, I agree would be best to find someone with the puller that would lend it to you.

Wire method worked like a charm. At least on the passenger side.
