    motorcycle mechanic

does anyone know of any motorcycle repair shops around peoria that isn't ridenow or goaz? there was a time when you couldn't drive 1/2 mile without seeing a small, independent, motorcycle repair shop. maybe those guys are all gone. i just hate going to ridenow because they are so expensive. i have a 1973 yamaha project that i want to farm out some of the work. i just don't want to get bent over by ridenow.

mostly carbs and tuning, maybe clean up some wiring. it's nothing i can't do myself but i would rather work on my jeep(s) with my limited spare time. getting some help with the bike will speed up the process of getting it road worthy. currently it's in line behind my son's 4 runner engine swap, my DD xj needs some love, and i have a 4 link upgrade (and a bunch of other stuff) on the horizon for my crawler.

I don't have an answer for your question. But I'd love to hear more about that bike. I grew up riding a few different early 70's Yamahas.

It's an xs 650. I just need a bike mechanic to go through the carbs, fuel system, etc to get it running better.

If you're serious Nate I would definitely bring it to you. I don't have your number but I will get it from Billy later and text you.

Probably one of the best Yamaha mechanics around, if not the best, is Randy Wells.

    Arizona Cycle Center, LLC.
2231 W Shangri La Rd suite d, Phoenix, AZ 85029
    (602) 281-6644

He works on all them, but he and his boys have been racing Yamaha's for decades. Randy and I raced back in the ADRA days.

Thanks for that info. Exactly what I was looking for. Nate is going to do the stuff I'm looking to get done right now but this is great for future reference.
