    Re: Krispy's Cherokee

I needed to get it to emissions, so I could register it in my name. I got the tires on and drove her for the first time. She runs well for a $300, 30 year of jeep. The transmission shifts good, no over heating, but the rear diff makes a ton of noise. I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that upgrade so soon. it looks like I have no choice. Still, after a few laps around the block I printed up a 3-day pass and I took off. I was a little scared driving her on the road but after a few miles I settled down and focused on the mission. I made it to the station with no trouble and she passed with flying colors. This is a milestone for my jeep and me.

    Re: Krispy's Cherokee

I pulled the cover off the rear diff and found that some one had broke the pin bolt. Then they took a cut off wheel to the carrier, hacked it up real good. Then they jammed a roll pin in to hold the cross shaft pin in place. I need to find a rear differential, I'm looking for an 8.25 29 spline 3:55 gear ratio. Anyone has one?
