Pick a part score. Lower arms, shackles, s10 leaf packs, a power steering pump, a distributor and some floor mats. I also got a gas tank skid. I went by 4 wheel part and ordered 4.5 inch coil springs on the way home. I need some shocks and that will be enough to get me going. Oh yeah I need tires and rims too.

I deleted all the systems not needed anymore, cruise control, AC, 4x4/ hvac vacuum lines, ect. I pressure washed the engine bay.
Another plus was it came with the late model radiator. No more surge tank.
I got new radiator hose's, t-stat and flushed the coolant system.

I have been looking a benders for this project, I came to the conclusion that there very expensive. Then I found the Affordable Bender. I've been researching it for a few weeks. I think it will work for me and my needs. This Morning I was ready to order but before I did I went on craigslist to look around. I was searching the tool section when I found the bender, posted 11 hours ago. Better still its a few streets over from me in San Tan. It came with 2 die's 1'' and 1.5''. He wanted $300 I got it for $250.

I have some 4.5 Rubicon express coil springs and shocks, see if you can return the ones you bought and save the $ for other upgrades.

    New tires and wheels.
I went with Dick Cepek Extreme Country 33's on 15X8 Trailmaster rims. They'll work until my jeep grows up a little.

I wanted to keep the transmission cool so I added a cooler. I found the one at the junk yard, it came from a old f250. the bottom fittings had bolts that held it in place. Once I removed the ac condenser, I drilled 2 holes , I bolted her up. Simple. I got a couple barbed fittings for the lines, some trans cooler hose and plumbed it in. That keep her cool on the trail.
