    Transmission shops

So, I think I toasted my Dodge's transmission, at least on the edge of it. So I am looking to get it either rebuilt or swapped for a high HP one (over 550HP for a 68RFE). Anyone know of any good shops around town that could do this.

Pete's Transmission in Phx is a good shop. They've been around a long time and have a stellar reputation for honesty and excellent work. Read some reviews on Yelp or other sources. Twice now, I've taken my Jeep to them thinking the trans was toasted and both times they found it was something less serious and much less $ to fix.

Quite a few of us have had our transmissions rebuilt at Sun Transmission. Always great work. Also had a friend have his Allison rebuilt there.
