    Poor PIGLET.

Let's just say Sunday's shakedown is gonna be epic. Thank you Fred for the long nights getting this beast together. Few little things to finish up like rear brakes, drive shafts, exhaust, tightening all the bolts, alignment, and a little paint work but it's almost trail worthy.

Tomorrow she drives out of the garage (hopefully).

I hate when this happens. Assembling the new shaft and old flange just to look down and spot a full break.

Looking good! Sounds like my Jeep. I've got a 2" running 35's and the Iron Rock 4" started being installed last night.

Yeah. Well now I have no 4wd and a broken winch line. A quick test hit to get it flexed out last night turned into a 4 hour mess of me being rather mad at piglet.

And I kno if the 4wd wouldn't have given up I would have walked out of that.

    Poor PIGLET.

Well I broke down today, after last nights mess, and decided against what I want to do to piglet. I was gonna yank the 241 and wait to get a bolt in upgraded case. Well I decided since that would be a few more weeks w/o jeep I decided to fix it.

To fix this case (tj 231)

I stole the pump outta this case (MJ 231)

Everything on mj looked fine inside the pump so I figure it should be fine. Just hope piglet agrees.

Now to pull the case out of piglet for the 5th and (hopefully) final time before I do upgrade.

I think it's just linkage but still baffled cuz I put it on the trailer in 4wd cuz I was missing the rear driveshaft due to a broken 8.8 flange

Well piglet is back in the garage. Gonna stuff my refreshed 231 back in and see what happens. At least I have the parts to build a wide chain 6 pinion 231. But that's to come at a later date. Today she gets her old case, a new trans pan (if parts come in), a 9500lb winch, exhaust re modified, and her skid plate

    Poor PIGLET.

Well piglet got her 231 back and her skid plate on. Got my 4wd back too. So I decided to do a little shakedown run today in cottonwood and it went fairly well. Only one part failure but it didn't hurt performance any. I was trying to see how far I could push piglet and see if I could still get her on her belly. I never got close to hitting the new skid plate. I'm happy she is happy. Now on to the only pics I got today. Katie did get a few as well.

    Almost flexed out

FAIL! Piston came off the shaft cuz the nut wasn't tight.

Those the Iron Rock hydro shocks? With all the missing hardware I ended up having it's a miracle I got it all together this weekend.

Yes they are. The hardware shortages were present in my kit but the missing components made my install a month long process. I ordered the parts the beginning of February, 9 days before the birthday run
