    Facebook deleting gun groups

    just received this on Facebook.

First, I want to thank you for joining www.azgunbuy.com

Now that you are a member we do have a simple favor to ask. Facebook removing all of our local gun groups was a pretty big blow and pretty damaging to the local firearms community. We used these groups to get together, meet new friends, find help, and socialize with fellow firearms enthusiast. These Facebook groups were by far the largest and most used way we all communicated with each other.

As you know we created www.azgunbuy.com to offer a place for all of our fellow firearms enthusiasts in Arizona to go. We need help spreading the word about our new community. Please post the link on your personal Facebook profile, message it to your shooting buddies, e-mail it, or however you can pass the link on to other shooters in Arizona. We have worked hard to bring this site up and get it live and we will continue to make it better as each day passes. We are all in this together and we are doing everything we can. The big help that youíre able to provide is helping us spread the word about www.azgunbuy.com We want every person who was affected by the removal of Facebook groups to come and be a part.

Thank you again for joining www.azgunbuy.com If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to voice them.

Maricopa & Pinal County Guns is still there, as is KA Buy/Sell/Trade-Arizona, but all of the other guns groups I was in on FB have vanished into thin air.

And I do snarl at this statement (excerpt) in particular: "Enforcement of the ban will depend on individuals flagging posts that violate the rule, after which Facebook will remove the posts, the New York Times reports."

    BS on that one.

Didn't we as a society used to discourage tattle-tales? I'm so sick of this type of nonsense!
