This was my concern, but have been told by several that its not a problem!
    I will eventually do this.

I installed one on my 03 TJ a few years back. My personal opinion is it was worth the $$. At the time I was having bad "heat soak" issues and after installing it they are gone. I've lived in AZ and now NM and it doesn't run warmer in the summer heat. I usually run just below the 210 dot on the guage.

I installed this on my LJ a few years ago after a V8 swap and it did help bring down temps. I did pick up a bit of a wind noise at 40+mph but its worth it. Another helpful hint is to make sure to replace/keep in place the rubber baffle that runs from the top of the grill back to the front/top of the radiator. Replacing this helped make sure air is traveling through my radiator and not up and over it. This reduced my running temps as well. Two pics below show with and without the rubber baffle.

Great to hear how effective these are. We'll be working on the Jeep right after we finished installing the new rack and tonneau covers on the truck for kayak mount. Got to address the heat issue as well.
