    Unhappy tranny problems

I just installed a re-built 360 40 over with a comp cam and did away with not needed smog pump and vacuum lines. I removed this because it is now under historic collectors plates and no longer needs e-mission. I am having trouble routing the vacuum lines to the transmission. It is not staying in drive at times and then kicks back in when in drive. I don't know if the lines don't have enough vaccume or to much vaccume to make it work right. Also when i put it in 4wheel it will not engage acks like it is in nutrel. Does anybody know anything about these vaccume activated trannys. What could be causing this or what to check. Maybe their is a shop that can reroute the lines? I am also looking for sombody to install a pro flow holly system on this 1985 Grand wagoneer. Any help will be apreshated. Thanks

you should have a 727 trans in that, correct? there is no vacuum to the trans but a kickdown cable off the carb, correct? are you talking about the transfer case behind the transmission? that may have vacuum lines to it. if so what transfer case do you have in it?

85 might also have vac disconnect front axle.

First thing I would check is trans oil.... asI have pointed out dozens (hundreds?) of times, check in NEUTRAL
