    Camping over the weekend

Here's a few pics of my rig when looking for a camping spot last weekend. Sporting the latest fashionable soft top..

Looked like a Land Rover Defender at first glance.

It's a top I made and have been honing for several years. I have working models for the TJ and LJ, patents, and will hopefully be going into limited production soon...

It has a nice look and appears to have windows that roll up in place. If that is a vertical zip up on the rear I could see that as an improvement over the traditional rounded upper corners and tension lower corners that lead to zipper track splitting. I have an '04 LJ with original top. Would like a closer look when you are ready for sales.

Yep, there are vertical zippers on the rear and it was intentionally designed so that there are no corners to go around. The side and rear windows can be rolled up, leaving the front and rear quarters as in the pics above but you can also roll up the entire rear, and detach the front and rear quarter panels as well as detach the side and rear panels so that only a full length roof remains. I found the hardware on the other soft tops to be very fragile with their plastic joints and aluminum tubing. The hardware on this top is all steel tubing and steel brackets making it virtually last forever unless of course you flop the jeep. The drawback is that it is much more expensive. I don't expect to put the other manufacturers out of business, rather, I built exactly what I wanted in a soft top and judging from the feedback thus far, most others have agreed. I may only put out 100 and stop there depending on how that goes. I have a waiting list that is much larger than 100 people, but I can only assume that once I put out the pricing, some will drop off.

Nice craftsmanship...should sell well. Quality is a rarity anymore in many products.
