No help here. My wife picked Moab for our 10th anniversary. She also has her own hobby which consumes most of her time.

Strike up a fake Facebook romance with an old fling. Let your wife find out about it. She will never leave your side......ever.

Or she does leave your side driving away with your Jeep.

We're not actually married, but have lived together for 3 years. She liked going when the trails were easy, but now that I am doing harder trails she doesn't go. She has given me flak about how often I go, and I answered find something for us to do and I will go with her sometimes. She has yet in over a year come up with something. I have scaled back to about 2x a month now, which is fine for me.

Re: Jeep for brains husband vs keep it on the road wife

My wife likes Jeeping but can't take the constant jarring and bumping. Short periods are not too bad. Longer trails with lots of bouncing is just too much. My work doesn't allow me to go out every weekend. I am 'always on call' (but rarely get called). I would have to ask one of two people to cover for me each time and that wound not be fair to them. So the every weekend thing isn't an issue for other reasons.

I have spent a fair amount on the Jeep lately but she understands it is to make it more bullet proof which translates to not getting stuck out in the middle of nowhere and avoiding trail repairs which she understands can be more dangerous than wrenching in the garage.

My advice to the OP. Try getting her out to Bulldog canyon, butter field or Montana mountain. My wife loves all three of these. She even likes box canyon but we bring her car and leave it at the flag pole area. Which reduces Jeep time and also means if I break down out there she can get home and tend to the dogs. I know you said you like to do harder trails but sometimes it's nice to just take a drive through our beautiful desert and if you are with your SO it's even better.

Exactly! Same here. The last thing I want to do is sit around the house on weekends.

I just wish she knew what it was that peaks her interests so I could get behind her on it. Instead of brining me down because I have found that thing!

That would be awesome if she'd do that. We went into the tanks once, I led her down a was nobody goes into, I spotted her three and she was WAY off camber! And she had a blast... Must have caught her an that perfect moment!

Hmmm could this become a case of "be careful what you wish for, you just may get it"?

Jason: hey wife, want to do something tonight?
Wife: sorry honey I already made plans. Going out with the girls since you showed me how great it is to have a hobby.
Jason: Cool! Very happy for you.
Wife: I will need the keys to the Jeep.
    Jason: Why?
Wife: Us girls are going wheeling honey! Will try not to be out too late k bye *smooch* *runs out door*
Jason: *scratches head* just dont get women.....maybe I should post up on VJC and see what other dudes do when their wife keeps taking the Jeep to go wheeling.

    Oh, this scenario would suck.
