I am glad you are feeling relief from the pain ! that is awesome news.

As an FYI; I work for the neurosurgeons here at Barrow Neurological Institute. If you end up seeking surgical options and review of your MRI I can guide you to an office or an online second opinion program.

I am glad you are feeling better.
Thanks man....for sure wasn't sure I ever would.

Right on, thanks for the offer.

My Neurologist is one you might know?

he did my spinal tap and ankle nerve removal for a biopsy at Barrows.

He's a huge supporter of this club (and a nice guy).

    Re: Phoenix chiropractor

    Both sides here-

With combination of ankylosing spondolitis (best described as juvenile onset arthritis; auto immune disorder by which immune system hyper reacts to injury, attacking healthy tissue) and years of abuse, my body (specifically my back) was a mess. Bunches of physical therapists, pain doctors (who I might characterize as drug pushers), I was finally referred to Barrow's. Although physical therapy did wonders (I cannot say enough about Barrows Neurological rehab, they put everyone to shame), nothing short of surgery could improve on the L4/5, L5/S1 fragmentation I had.

Almost 4 years since surgery, and although I still have substantial pain, it is nothing like before. Met Andy, who following CDL physical gave me a quickie adjustment. Two thumbs up. Referred one of my bosses (Jeep tour company), and he reported back with "better than all others".

Bottom line: in my opinion based largely on my experience, most everything has it's place. Just as all the massage in the world will not fix a broken arm, some injuries require surgery; a qualified neurologist (with supporting second opinions) is the person to make that assessment. As my neurologist told me "I cannot fix you, I can just (try to) make you better than you are". From my experience with Andy, I believe that he is not one of the chiropractors that profess they can cure a cold (yes, experienced that), and he would give an accurate assessment.

    Two thumbs up.

And thank you Steve O. You are right, I can't cure the common cold. Rigor mortis however is another story...... Just my job but I do appreciate the good words from all.

    Totally agree w/this post.

as Dr K said "I can't treat you until we know why you have PN"

and I too went to PT for my sciatica issue in 97 when it first hit, that was 2x a week for over 2months. But did "fix" me until recently.

Kath and I are looking forward to seeing aheath on Saturday.

With backs (and many other things), "fix" is a relative term. 157lbs (I'm 6'4"+) because it hurt too much to get up to eat was a scary / painful thing.

    Too true.

    I have no issues eating...sadly.

I just want to have a better quality of life...get out more and live.

That said, guess you aren't far from my place, we should meet up some time and bs/talk Jeeps.

    Hey Andy,

Great seeing you again on Saturday, and of course thanks again for fitting Kath and I in for an apt.

Felt good all weekend....we crashed out at 9p on Sat night and didn't get out of bed till 9:15a (not including getting up to let Kennedy out and get Derby out of his room to the living room) on Sunday, got a nice night of sleep.

    You rock!!
