I have been to this clown and he is actually pretty good....

Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

only reason i ask is because i run the tech stuff in AZ for our PM/EMR software that they market for chiropractors. Would be funny if you were running ours.

    Re: Phoenix chiropractor

Just have to chime in here.

In the past 4months or so I've had issues w/my back and the last 1 1/2-2 it has been really bad. So bad I had to see my doctor which said w/my prior MRI having more then one issue, he would prefer me to see a pain Dr.

So did that a little over a month ago, we talked a lot and he said since my most recent MRI was from 07 that he would need a more recent one so I went in and had one done.

Went back to go over the results and he said I still have issues, some worse and oddly some better.

BUT my sciatica was absolutely killing me. (keep in mind I've had 3 blood clots and have Polyneuropathy so I know/deal w/pain on a minute by minute basis) He said I have 2 options.

    1. he can give me cortisone injection which he said I would probably need 3 or 4and couldn't promise it would help.
    or
    2. I would need to see a Neuro Surgeon for an operation to fix me.

I hated both of those options.

I have only been to 2 Chiropractors in my life.

    1. to see if they could help my PN...was a useless visit.

and about 2months I saw another to see if they could help w/my sciatica pain...was a awful experience and why I never went to them.

    THEN I talked w/aheath4.

He said he would be happy to check me out to see if he could give me any relief in pain...me thinking, probably not but figured I trust this board and would give him a shot.

So last Sat, Kath and I headed to his office. K has seen Chiropractors before/believes in them so asked to also be seen.

We both went in w/me HOPING to get relief and K ready to get relief.

aheath brought us in and talked w/me and went over both my MRI results.

Then he went to work on my back and worked on Kath next.

I felt better walking out and we are both seeing him again on Saturday. Also his "bedside manner" was awesome, he was cool (plus that he is a fellow Jeeper, my pain dr questioned me about the TJ/the lift and wheeling in general) knowledgeable and nice.

We left there and put about 50miles on the TJ cruzing around to different stores/went to Cave Creek and by the end of the night, my sciatica didn't hurt on bit and hadn't all day.(I wear a pedometer and put over 5k in steps on it Saturday.

K's neck was, as she said 80% better too.

BUT the test was the night, where I usually spent between 1-4hrs in the recliner so that I could get sleep...in bed, laying down....my sciatica would kill me.

Since last Saturday, I've only spent about 2hrs in the recliner one night. I have had a pain here and there w/it but as aheath said I would probably have up and down days for a bit.

All in all, I would suggest anyone w/back pain to at least give aheath a chance to help you. I KNOW he did me(which again I went in thinking this might end like the other 2 visits to Chiros') and look forward to seeing him again on Saturday.

AZJ thats a nice props for ahealth4 !!

I am glad you are feeling relief from the pain ! that is awesome news.

As an FYI; I work for the neurosurgeons here at Barrow Neurological Institute. If you end up seeking surgical options and review of your MRI I can guide you to an office or an online second opinion program.

I am glad you are feeling better.

For the 15th Annual CK Run 10am group's pre-run raffle, aheath4 very generously provided several gift certs for free massages by his licensed massage theraptist, and free chiropractic visits!
