Could you possibly help someone get their ham license? I want to get into it, but have no clue where to start.

There is a Ham Radio forum on this site in the "Off Topic" section with members more knowledgeable than me who will point you in the right direction. You can also check with the folks at Ham Radio Outlet at 43rd Ave & Peoria.

You can also check out http://www.4x4ham.com - there are a lot of local members there.

I have one of the new ones at the shop 40 MTR/K. I might be able to piece together a whole set if you're interested.

If you want to PM me your email address, I can get you pointed down the road to your ticket. Let me know what part of town you're in and what style of learning you're interested in.

You can do "free" online self study, get a book and study, or around the Valley there are volunteers who conduct classes.

You did the hard part and asked for help...getting the ticket is usually easier than most folks think...

Look forward to hearing you on the airwaves!
