Is your 1 ton registered as a Commercial Vehicle ?

Best way to tell is by looking at the plate, does it start with CF ?

I'm still trying to confirm, but yeah, there's a reason why I'm bringing this up....

There's a couple of different letter combinations, but they all start with 'C'. Its 2 letters, with a space, then the rest. Anyway, mine starts with a CB. Yes, it's commercial. You have to pay an additional $12 or so per year. Other than that it's the same. Since it's a light duty truck you still don't need a special endorsement or anything.

I believe it has to be commercial once your GVWR is 11,000+ lbs.

I've never seen a 3/4 ton registered as commercial unless it was owned by a business.... you sure?

I'm going to call the police and claim it as a stolen vehicle. Let them know that I really want it back because my bag of weed is in the glovebox.

good try. Its registered in WA still. that was my old az plate. I had my business name on it, probably why it was a "commercial" vehicle

Duh, that last part is why. Stop trying to confuse Rich. He's kinda slow how it is.

Oh, and when are we going to pick up that genset? By genset I mean motor that tries in vain to generate electricity. Tomorrow?

So, I've had three calls this week from guys that are running one ton rigs and pulling PERSONAL trailers that say they've been stopped by DPS and because of a new law (which I still can't find the details of), they need a medical physical similiar to the ones the CDL drivers get. They are being told they don't need a CDL, but they need the physical...I have seen some mention of changes that supposedly went into effect in February, but I can't find anything with authority...

They are asking for the card, the same ones the CDL drivers carry...(actually the CDL drivers can give the DMV the card and it will show up as valid or not when LEO runs your license)....
