Made it out...thought I seen you go by when we were stopped...made friends with some jackazs in a GC, shooting down the road. If anyone knows him, yeah that was me and he's lucky I didn't introduce him to my fist....

[QUOTE=LittleBurro;729434]Ya, people don't like wheeling with me.... I spend too much time out of my jeep

Yep, we wheel alike, same habits.

I got my xj back, and I'm heading out, don't know where I'll land, some where North.

    home
my xj failed me yesterday afternoon coming home from meet-up with LittleBurro. I got stranded on the shoulder of the fast lane on Interstate 17. Thank you to David C. for answering his phone and getting a tow truck to me. I sat there for 2 hours, and it was a bit stressful as traffic zipped by me at 75 mph. Yes I saw many jeeps wiz by me, and then about 10 minutes before the tow truck arrived there was a knocking on my window, there stood a guy I made friends with that I met at the Coves (he now drives a nice looking '96 white xj). He saw my jeep and pulled over as quick as he could and backed up until he made his way to me, I hadn't seen him because I had my hood up to signal I was in trouble, as I sat buckled up hoping no one rear ends me because they are not paying attention to the road. The Gentleman that knocked on my window was Mario, some of you might recognize who he is by the xj his cousine drives, it's a suzuki green xj that styles, that's how I met these guys, I approached them after seeing the xj at the Coves a few years ago, to tell him his suzuki green xj has class, very excellent paint job.
So if you guys should happen upon my friends, you shake their hand and tell em old Digger has the utmost respect for them. They are not members of AZVJC nor any club.
Thank you to Overland Towing and Recovery. This guy has a first class tow rig, equipted to recover anything in any situation, really. his number is 602 421-4645, in case you should find yourself in need of real professional.

Don't slam me for staying in the xj, I had 5 dogs with me, and standing on the shoulder of I 17 with 5 dogs would have caused a dangerous distraction for those driving up on us.

I am going up to 4 peaks from Beeline, going to Microwave tower and coming back out the same way I went in. I should be back by 7:30.

I will check in when I get home.
