    The "I'm wheeling alone" thread

Many people decide to go off on the spur of the moment and play around. This thread is for posting when/where you'll be going and an expected time back....if you post up that you are going out alone, make sure to post up that you made it back safely.

I've noticed several posts along these lines lately and have been guilty of clip hai taking the kids out by ourselves several times in the last few weeks.

If this catches on, we'll make it a sticky.

So, post here if you're going exploring and want people to check up on you.

    LOL,

I'm going to explore some off the beaten path trails between I 17, and the town of Bumble Bee today. I'll check in when I return.
Thanks for watching out for us loners, or should I say those of us "who prefer the company of dogs at times".

Stay out of the river. I still have clumps of mud in my back seat floor mats from last time. Sucked because the weekend prior to pulling you out of the river I had my truck fully detailed.

Great thread, I know I'm guilty of often going out to some easier spots alone or with only one other rig. After seeing the out pouring of help on this site this past fall, I know any loners would be in good hands with the VJC group.

I'm home, and I got a warning for my plate. So, I think if I turn the plate so it reads up and down, it will clear the spare tire. Is this going to fly with the highway patrol?

Great idea Rich. Thanks for posting it up. Should I post up when I wheel alone to ASU? I'm pretty sure the 60 is a at least a 4.0 trail

Re: The "I'm wheeling alone" thread

I won't wheel alone for a lot of reasons. Most of all, I don't feel I'm an experienced enough wheeler to be out there by myself.

I will recommend for those of you that do wheel alone to get yourself something like the SPOT tracker. It is cheap "insurance" in case something does happen while you are out of cell range. I have one and I use it regardless of wheeling alone or with others.
