    1974 CJ5 Project jeep

1974 Jeep CJ5, I bought it from a friend about 3.5 years ago, and drove it home. It ran well, but needed a new clutch, and has a small crack in the chassis near the front passenger side. I bought this jeep for my son and I to restore, however he is now 16, and not very interested in it. I was given the title, but never visited DMV to transfer to my name, and lost during our last move. You will need to get a bonded or abandoned tittle on it. I will provide a bill of sale. The Jeep Body is in great shape, it has manual lockers on it and could be a great jeep. It is apart now and a rolling chassis. (See pic) It needs a new clutch, new break lines, new bushings, new exhaust system and mounts. Has 33's with great tread left, but they have been sitting. No glass, but I have a frame. Also has a roll cage. It has the 258, and I was told it only has 40k on it, but I have no way to verify this. It is a project Jeep!

Ask is $1250 (VJC Members), willing to look at all offers, trades etc. PM me for number or email. I listed on CL for $1500

I would think it could be parted out for more money, was going to build, just ordered LOTS of parts..
We just got the estimate for the dental work and the kids braces.. Not pretty..

    Re: 1974 CJ5 Project jeep

Looks Like I am not going to sell it as a whole, so PM me offers on parts, VJC members get first dibs on them, I am putting the ad on CL again for the whole jeep, and will start parting next week if I still can't find a buyer. If you want pics of anything let me know. The front axle has manual lockers, The 33's are older, but like 90% tread on them..great spares? The body is in great shape, and the engine, 3-speed transmission, and transfer case all worked.. I only drove the Jeep a few miles, but the only thing I know was bad was the clutch. Also have the chrome grill, and the aftermarket roll cage. Could be willing to trade items/skills as well.

Willing to trade... Need TJ parts, open to services as well. I will contact anyone who PM'd me about parts starting Monday if still not sold.

Does anyone know the best place to look for a reference on pricing for parts? I am a bit lost on where to start. I am
Hoping to keep the cage and repurpose into the TJ.
