I'm looking at coverage maps for the Rimlink and Northlink repeater systems, and it looks like there's a sizeable dead spot just north of Black Canyon city...is there anything that covers the Prescott area, and the rest of I17?

Yep, I was looking at those maps earlier, that's how's I found the dead spots in coverage. I'm in prescott now, and just like the maps said, coverage dropped out right after Black Canyon City, although I was able to get on the Mt. Elden 2m repeater once I got into Prescott Valley. I suppose it might be time to get a HF rig now too, lol

I've been able to pick up several Mingus Mountain repeaters from the intersection of I-17 and Hwy 74. You should be able to hold the repeaters until Prescott:
145.290- PL 127.3
147.000+ PL 162.2
442.150+ PL 100.0
