    Offroad Expo Stole my pic

Was looking into plans for the Offroad Expo in Pomona for October, and was checking out their website... http://www.offroadexpo.com/ And I was completely surprised when I clicked on the link to see a picture of MY jeep being used for their logo/banner. I should demand royalties!

It was taken on upper raw deal by the way...

Jason, heck yeah man, if not a royalty to you, maybe negotiate a plug for your products. I think that's me sitting in the back seat there too.

If it was put anywhere on the net without copyright info it's a hard issue to deal with. However, to use your vehicle, without permission, to promote their expo should get you some goodies. Even as a commercial photographer it's a pain to deal with.

I ended up in the Summit Catalog a few years ago. They took pictures at All-4-Fun. It ended up being my 15 minutes of fame.......Oh well.

I know a client at work had a pic up on her own website that ended up on a greeting card. It was even being sold at a card store. Nothing she could do about it. Now she has copyrights on the website and pics. Sorry

I would still try to get something out of it.

LOL... I should have clarified my stance. I wasnt biotching at all and could care less! I thought it was funny, and completely caught me by surprise. Just posting it up for a laugh really. I know that "I" am the target audience and the majority of what new manufacturers are going after. I'm sure thats the reason for their choice in pics... I do take it as a compliment and also that I am "joe consumer." BUT, we ARE trying to work a deal on my entry fee or an upgrade. Its a new company that took over the show... And stand down attorney Randy, I cant afford to have you go after them right now! lmao!

    Yeah I understand.

Just email me the pictures: 6619eomega@cox.net
For personal reference only and to ensure compliance, it's a required standard procedure or else I wouldn't ask for them.
