    XJ long arms,or 3 link ?

I want to upgrade my 96 XJ to a long arm setup. I have looked at many different ones..Rusty's,RE,Clayton,Treks,And and interesting 3 link setup from Iron Rock Off Road. Anybody have any experience with these or any other long arms for the XJ.

I run RK Long Arm on the shop cherokee. Very happy with it. One thing to keep in mind when looking at LA kits, make sure control arm mounts are separate from the skid plate. It is a PITA if you have to drop control arms to get skid plate off.

RK, hands down. But you did not ask about them, so RE is a good second choice.

I run TNT/Treks LA's on my junk and I'm happy. I like the clearance and bellypan beef but downside like Todd said is that the LA's connect to the belly pan so you have to remove them to lower it. I haven't had to remove it in 2 + years though. My next choice would be the RK 3 link. The RK's mounts hung below the unibody rail so I went with the TNT kit but maybe the RK mounts are modified now. Been a while since I looked at that kit. Can't really go wrong with either one, just have to look at the pros and cons of each and decide what best fits you.

If you make your own, just don't do this:

Thanks guys,I will look at at the RK also.I am thinking of building my own but, started adding up prices of hiems, inserts, tubing, hardware, and to do it right it gets really expensive.I had about $400 in parts without steel for a crossmember.that was just using prices from Rustys for the hiems, etc.I plan on Sept. for the upgrade,so I have some time for more research.Right now its sitting waiting for new bushings from RE for lower arms.completely fell apart in less than 500 miles, and only one trip to the white tanks, they claim they had a "bad batch of bushings"

RK is what I run with RE coils and Leafs.. Solid 2 inch links !!

TNT Customs builds very good quality products.. arms are attached to skid plate making for more work removing transmission.. Good protection though.

RE has a rediculious amount of mounting hardware.. IE PITA to install.

Rusty's is umm, Yea run away...

Iron Rock is a newer suspension co.. No idea how thier quality is.

Claytons is stout stuff if you like square stock..

TeraFlex has you cutting up the stock crossmember.. .120 wall arms

In my opinion the most Bang for your buck is going to be the RK 3 link.

I am very, VERY happy with my RK set up via Absolute Offroad. 100% recommend the RK as well as AO. Went to Moab this year with the LA and can't believe I ever drove with short arms. LOL

HERE is the full review, but here are a couple of pics, too.
