Did that.. still can't edit. When clicking on "submit" it takes asks
me to log in. When it goes back to the edit page, the corrections

Not a 100% sure but believe they only look for it holding pressure. The
test is designed to verify that gas fumes don't get to the outside air
without going through the charcoal canister.

Subject: [TR] Sunflower Mine Loop - Saturday, January 3, 2004 - Reminder

Hello All,Kit Carson is leading a Sunflower Mine Loop trail run on Saturday, January 3, 2004.

When: 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM. Let's try and leave by 9:00 AM.
Where: North/West corner of Beeline and Shea in front of Wendy's. We'll caravan to the air down spot at the entrance to the trail.
Rating: 3.5-
Length: Most of the day.
CB Channel: 4

Looks like this is a go! Kit Carson has volunteered to be the trip leader. He has done the trail three times. Thanks Kit!

The Sunflower Mine Loop is a fun trail that offers a little something for everyone. It takes 3 – 4 hours to complete allowing for time to poke around and explore. The loop starts as an easy 2.5 trail that winds along a hillside and slowly descends into the canyon. After crossing a bridge you continue up the canyon until you arrive at the Sunflower Mine site. The mine’s processing building is still standing and is in decent shape. Stock vehicles can make this section of the loop easily, however the next section requires higher ground clearance and aggressive tires.

After leaving the mine the trails continues up a shady canyon becoming more tight and challenging as it runs across and up a rocky creek bed. The bed is usually dry but can be very slippery when water is running. After awhile you make a hard right turn up a steep rock wall obstacle and continue to climb a loose rocky road out of the canyon and into the pines and junipers. At the top the trail continues with some washed out sections, passes a couple of more mine shafts, and gradually becomes easier as you return to the loops starting point.

Remember to pack water, a lunch, and bring your camera.

Enjoy and remember to TREAD Lightly!

Hi Roger,

I need to remind everyone... the BBS isn't meant to replace our current webpage... only to supplement it for those who wish to use a BBS style forum.

One thing is for sure... a BBS format isn't for everyone. The site will evolve much as our webpage has... and we'll see how things shake out.

Kind Regards,

Would like to trade for a used Warn winch but we'll see.
Check them out and if interested contact me off post.

Subject: 1/10 - Auto Repair Shop Grand Opening

A good friend of mine and Sharky's, (and fellow Jeeper) is having a
grand opening for his new auto repair shop on Sat.,Jan 10th. He
wanted to invite ALL the VJCer's out to enjoy the festivities. His
shop is located on the S.E. corner of Central and Hatcher. The
opening will run from 10am 'til 3pm and will have food and drink,
Raffles, a free prize wheel, an RTI ramp loaned to us by Hunter
Offroad, and best of all... The Wynns Automotive rep will be out
with the Wynns girls and the Wynns Hummer. We have to shop up
the "show" Hummer! If you can make it, I'm sure you'll have a nice
time. He is a very good mechanic and friend, and if you are looking
for a compete auto repair shop that takes care of us Jeepers (he has
a CJ5), you should give him a try.

But there are many land use postings that don't translate into events
posted on the webpage. All those will get missed if people don't
navigate down into the Land Use section.

Hi Roger,

I need to remind everyone... the BBS isn't meant to replace our current
webpage... only to supplement it for those who wish to use a BBS style
forum.

One thing is for sure... a BBS format isn't for everyone. The site will
evolve much as our webpage has... and we'll see how things shake out.

Kind Regards,

Joe

I share Doug's concerns.

I'm also concerned that it's easier to ignore land use posts.
