Both of you are incorrect in your thinking. Right now anyone, and I
mean anyone (spammers, out of state, out of country, ...) can join
this group. With a BBS style program not only can users be blocked
but IP addresses also. This means, unless the spammers or "trash
maker" gets another IP connection to reach us from they will be
blocked permanently. The chances of them getting another IP address
are less likely than someone just creating another Yahoo id.

Tony,

I know of no way to attach a rock skid to the frame and yet have it move
in conjunction with the tub when a body lift is installed.

Drilling a half dozen holes into the rocker panel is simple to do and
certainly does not compromise the integrity of the vehicle. In my
opinion, if you want good rocker protection, you put that protection on
the rockers, not underneath it on the frame.

That all being said, I've recently had a chance to bang on my recently
installed Toys by Troy rocker guards....awesome.....to put it simply. I
dropped down on one side on Upper Terminator the other day, hard enough
to rattle the fillings in my teeth. Barely a mark on the rocker
guard.....that I like! A darn good product.

Why would we be changing the way members join the AZVJC? Just because
we have a different media forum does not mean we have to change the way
members join the group. That being said, we already have people living
outside of Arizona in the AZVJC.

I think you should use the license for the Porshe board. The longer VJC
waits to switch to BBS style the better. BBS format sucks.

Subject: Rob's XJ Plastic Rockrunner fender update!

Ok heres the latest and greatest, I've kind of scrapped the idea of complete fender reproduction.(due to diffucultly and final cost) instead I've been brainstorming and have come up with just a plastic partial fender section.that will kind of resemble Jeepspeed style fenders but not quite as extreme of a flare.... Basically just the stock flare area and about 4" beyond that being held in place w/ dzus quick disconnect fasteners(racing body fasteners)There will be a small visible lip w/fasteners. So I'll say 80% of the fender section will be easily removable and replaceable without having to remove the whole front nose. so in theory you can take 80% of the fender off and go wheelin worry free and then just pop on your fenders when your done! colors are white, black(paintable) also will be available in clear to place rock lights inside fenderwells! You will have to give me your fenders and I will route them out to the exact size I need and drill my mounting holes and atatch fenders.. I like it! and I need to know how many people agree.Pricing will be $300.00 per pair including(partial fenders,1 time only labor, all fasteners),replacement partial fenders= only$55.00 ea! can't beat that with a rock.LOL
Let me know whatcha think please before I go gung ho into this project....

Not sure what "sucks" about BBS format. The only problem I have ever
had with a BBS is with JU's search "feature", other than that
anything is better than this. Oh yeah, have you used the search on
here, although you can acsess it, unlike JU's most of the time, it
takes forever.
We will never be able to please everyone. I would bet for every two
individuals that is lost because of going to BBS we will gain three.
Just a prediction.

Mmmm, takes me *maybe* 15 seconds to get another IP address.
- Open up a command window
- Type IPConfig /release
- Type IPConfig /renew

Bingo, new IP address.
