    ATV Repair

Don't know if this is the proper forum or not. I need some work done on my Honda ATV and would like a recommendation. Purchased five years ago from Apache Honda but have never needed repairs. I am located in north central Phoenix. Thanks in advance.

I highly recommend Screwie Lewies on Deer valley a mile or so east of I17.

curious why you wouldn't take it back to Apache?

I recently had work done at Ride Now in Avondale and was happy with the outcome....

No particular reason...I'm just cautious. I don't really have a service history with the ATV other than one recall.

Well, if it's any help, I recently spoke with a friend who had work done at Coyote Honda, and was happy with their service, as I mentioned I recently dealt with Ride Now in Avondale, Since you are on the North side I would say Screwies is your best bet....

    Re: ATV Repair

Any recommendations on where to take a 2005 Yamaha Raptor for some carb tuning and re-jetting? I've had the carb off, but am not comfortable re-jetting it myself.

Several peeps on RA recommended DFR, but I'm in central Phx as well and that is really far.

I called Dave's cart and Cycle and they said they'd work on it.

If you are on the east side of town then go to Kenz Cycle off of Broadway just west of Mesa Drive. Edit: Just get a quote first and tell him you will hold him to it 100% unless he calls for approval before adding anything to it.

    Re: ATV Repair

I called Dave's Cart and Cycle again (32nd & Indian School) and they stated that they work on Raptors all the time and they have a guy there that's good with the carbs. He said if no parts were needed, it would be around $100 to get it tuned (it starts now...) and would call if it was going to need more.

Despite the recommendations to go elsewhere, all I really need is a good mechanic, and if this works out, I'll have a shop a few miles from my house which is huge.

I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

That's a pretty good shop, I used to buy all our parts there before I got away from carbed atvs.
