The hole needed to be enlarged to about 3/4" to fit. I have a 25/32" drill bit that I used to install my lift kit so I planned to use that. I put the plates on a drill press but the bit got dull so fast it was like trying to drill through unobtainium.

I sold my Dana 35 for $150. I am glad to have that gone!

I got everything welded on and painted. I am just waiting for it to fully dry before I install it.

    A little about the axle:
    31 Splines
    Disk brakes
Axle shafts rated at 6,500 Ft-lbs of torque, stronger than a Dana 44!
5x4.5 bolt pattern (same as XJ)
Width = 59.5" (1" shorter than XJ). I plan on getting 1/2" wheel spacers to get it back to stock width.
