View Full Version : Anyone have Monday's off....

I'd like to change out my passenger side rear shaft from my ford 8.8 but haven't done anything like this before. I want someone who has done something like this before to "guide" me on it.

I have a simple set of hand tools so I'm not sure if I have all the proper tools needed and I don't have jackstands and a good floor jack (just my high lift and bottle jack).

If anyone has off on Monday (like today for example) and has nothing better to do, I could use the help. We could meet at my place and do it, if you are willing to bring the tools and stands or I can drive to yours.

I swear man.... What has gotten into this board lately? Seems like all you guys are hard up and picking things out of posts that are totally off the original intention of the thread itself. LOL :D

Its the change in the weather. I have always said that fall in Phoenix does the same thing to us that spring does to men in the cold country. ;)

Mini road trips aren't too bad. You willing to help guide me through an install of a new shaft?

What's wrong with your current shaft.. ??

It's bent. Came that way from the junkyard. I have a superior replacment for it so I'd rather have the bent one as a spare. I already have a drivers side spare too but that one is fine currently.

Yeah, sure just give me a call.. I usually nap after the kids get off to school on Mondays so between 9 and 2 I don't answer the phone..
