gas milage

i was wondering what everybody was getting with their daily driver's? I have a 97 TJ, 4.0 eng,5 speed, 410 gears, 33's, a/c. I'm commuting to central Phoenix now( 17 miles one way) and i have a light gas pedal foot and i got 16 mpg last week. Is this average? Note: recent major tune-up. Just wondering

Jim,
16 miles with your setup is pretty good I'd say. The low to middle teens seems to be were most modified jeeps are at. (from what others have told me :) )

92 XJ,4.5" lift with 31's, 3.55 gears and auto trans. 13mpg on a real good day:( .So I drive my wifes saturn since it gets 30mpg:D . Don

97 TJ Sport 4.0L with 5spd, 6" of lift, 35 x 12.5 MTR's and 4:88 gears locked front and rear, Safari top with half doors and windows. 12 to 14 mpg depending on whether I'm coming or going.:rolleyes:
