If anyone knows of a good price on 6" coils let me know. I'm also considering the Tera long arm upgrade.

Jay E, can you forward this to Damon at Toybox?

The company is 4X Doctor. ToyBox sells them but Damon says he is switching to another brand - same style - from Challenger.

Wow! My springs are in really poor shape. I've got 17" up front with 4.5" RE coils and 1.75" spacers. I've got 11.5" in the rear with 4.5" RE coils and .75" spacers. I've heard this happen with RE coils in the past. I've also heard that the Pro Comp coils are about the best, though the rest of their kit is only average. I think it's time to look into pricing on them. I'm also going to look into pricing on 6" Skyjacker coils.

Thanks to everyone that responded.

HI!

I believe my 4.5" springs have sagged quite a bit. I'd be grateful if a few stock and lifted TJ owners could measure the distance between the upper and lower coil perches so I can see how much lift I've got left. I'm currently sitting at 17" in front and 11.5" in the rear. This will help me decide whether to order 4" or 6" replacements.

Thanks in advance,

Scott

Tom,

Good choice; moving up to REAL offroad tires from those poeser tires that
you had before.

Try AA Arizona Drivelines. (602-253-8006). Located at 2417 W Lincoln
Street in Phoenix. They made my rear CV driveshaft for my TJ. They
can make any type of drive shaft. I like them because they are local
and if you have problems it makes it much easier then then going
through a dealer or the mail. Oscar Trevino owns the business and he
is a nice guy to deal with.

You can have your driveshaft extended, look up Dick's
Driveline in the phone book. I believe he is on
Washington in Phoenix.

Subject: Steering problem

Has anyone ever heard of a manual steering box going bad or breaking internally. I have a major steering problem and I've gone
through everything and it keeps pointing back to the steering box. Unlike bumpsteer, when I hit a bump, I don't feel it in the
steering wheel at all. I can hold the wheel straight and the Jeep will make a quick right lane change. I have to immediately
compensate by turning the wheel to the left and if I hit a bump while the wheel is still turned it will do the same thing causing me
to turn even farther to the point where my steering wheel can be a full half turn to the left and still be going straight.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Matt,
Locally your best bet would be Arizona Drive line. Talk to Oscar when you
call. They build long spline drive shafts for any application. The shafts
generally cost between 2 and 3 hundred bucks. I have used them myself for
several shafts and have always had good luck with them. In fact I have my
rear shaft (that they built) there right now because I twisted the splines on
it. The damage was totally my fault yet they still gave me a great deal on
the price to have it repaired. There are other shops locally and a few well
known companies out there, cal them all if you want, but AZDL has my loyalty.
Call them at 1-800-845-6326
