I have a fuel leak on the firewall end of the fuel rail. Actually, it's not the rail that's leaking but that fuel line connection there. How do I undo that so I can fix it?
PLEASE asist. She's my daily and well, no way in hell I'm drivin her with fuel dumping all over the exhaust mani.
Thanks much. :)

Ok, not sure where my sig file went and now I can't find the options in the CP to edit my sig, which had all my jeep info in it, so here it is.
It's an 88 XJ 4x4 with a 4.0.
Thanks.

To disconnect the line, there should be a plastic clip thing. It will be inside the line itself, but will have 2 tabs that will stick out that you should be able to sqeeze with your fingers or a pair of pliers. To fix the leak, be very carefull as inside of that connection there will be 2 o-rings and 1 plastic spacer, don't loose that spacer. But the order will be o-ring, spacer, o-ring.
Go here http://www.wjjeeps.com/misc/quick_connect.pdf, scroll down to page 3, left hand side, Plastic Retaining Ring Type. The part you will sqeeze is number 4 on that picture.
Or if you want to swing by I could help, I also have o-rings that fit on the shelf. I am in west PHX (75th Ave & Thomas).

:Hey, thanks much. I finally figured it out. I jimmy rigged the fuel line. Just got some fuel injection line, some hose clamps, and a connector and fixed the line. Seems to be doing very well now. *whew*

No problem on the offer, I had that happen to me, smelled gas after I parked in the driveway, popped the hood, and saw the nice leak, right onto the header. All I can say is I am glad I carry a fire extinguisher for the oh $#!% factor.
