OK, I was just wondering.....If I install a SYE and CV shaft and then remove the 1" Tranny/Tcase drop kit, will my front driveshaft vibrate? I was looking at this over the weekend and began to wonder.
Also, here is a report on the slip yoke/cv shaft that I got from AZ drivelines. It is pretty much worthless. Mike over at 4 Wheelers was absolutely correct. After installing it and making the appropriate adjustments with my pinion angle I found that the DS did not vibrate until I accelerated above 50 MPH. After that, the vibes grew steadily worse until at 65 MPH it was scary to drive the jeep at all! I took the driveline back and they rebalanced it, but that didn't do any good. I am waiting to see if they will exchange the DS for a SYE kit since the DS doesn't do what it was advertised to do. I will see what happens and let you all know. I re-installed the drop kit and put my old drive shaft back in and reset the UCA's to 13 1/4" but now I am getting vibes with this setup! Everything is back to normal so I don't know what is wrong. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
