I have finally aquired an 89 Jeep Cherokee and getting ready to do the lift. This is going to be a father and son project and in time I am hoping my son will get it for a school vehicle in a couple years. That is If i dont decide to keep it for myself. Anyway what I want to do is probably a 41/2" suspension lift and some tires wheels ect. then re-enforce this with structual beefs such as sliders, skids ect. This will remain a daily driver for the most part and what I am trying to do is make it an in-expensive project for us to work on and build. Any recommendations aon a good quality yet inexpensive lift kit would be interested in a used lift as well as I am not a rich man by any means the Army doesn't pay that well. Thanks for any help that you can offer.

First of all JeeperX, Thank You for serving our country!:D

Rubicon Express makes a good reasonably priced lift. I put a 3.5" Rubicon Express Superflex on my son's XJ. I was very impressed with it.

I like Rock Krawler from the dollar for dollar value perspective and we have good support on the RK front in the valley.
