Subject: Receiver Hitch D-Ring vs Tow Hooks

I'm going to purchase the Kilby gas skid and figured I would replace my
stock rear bumper as well. If I buy a bumper w/receiver rated class3 can I
use the 2" receiver D-ring instead of tow hooks? Since I don't tow the main
reason for getting the reciver bumper would be for tow hook replacement and
maybe mountain bikes. I have never really towed much so the 3500# rating is
a little confusing especially when the make 9000# winch mounts for
recievers.

BTW - I am thinking of getting the Olympic double tube since it is the only
one rated at 3500#'s I have found so far. Any other suggestions are
encouraged/welcome.

OK I think we need a new requirement to join the club. You must at least
complete Bulldog Canyon (that should keep out the low riders).

Ok, new idea for low rider Jeep.

We can have a Low Rider Jeep Crawling Contest!!!

Several classes some to mind:
One that causes the most damage
Vehicle with the smallest tires that successfully makes it over
Most air caught during drive over
Longest distance when jumping over low rider
Who can balance the best while on top

What else can we do while taking care of this blasfamest Jeep?

I know its not the best idea... but I've been told you can squeeze a 10.5"

Other than wearing out the center of the tread, is there any inherent danger
in doing this?
