Hello everyone...:)

I'm about to purchase new baja claw radials 31X10.5X15. I love my Firestone Destination m/t but I'd like to try something else. They already have been shipped and just need to be paid for.

If you tried them, what should I expect from them when offroading? Mud, rocks, sand, snow...backing up (directional tires!)?

I know some of you are probably like: "man, that guy never heard of the word 'research'! " Well, I did and have found not much...got crap in my eye:p

Thanks!

P.s: If you think they're p.os. tell me why I gotta know!

Generally good tires, I have run the radial and the bias versions and would choose the bias; but- I don't run anything under 40" these days- the bias have some good points and negatives imexp they have a thicker sidewall, larger side tread, and increased tread depth. They do flat spot when cold and they do make slight (very slightly) more noise and the nice part about both is when they wear down you can reverse them and still wheel with good traction, but reversed they are significantly louder. We do not have ice here but they are very poor on ice covered pavement FWIW.

All in all they are a very good tire and every few months Desert Rat runs the buy 3 get the 4th free sale FWIW.

I ran 33x13.5x15 Swamper LTB's on a 2" lift for one run. The next weekend I switched to a 4" lift. Those are w i d e tires and will rub very bad with only a 2" lift. Good luck with the sawzall!

well I have the 33" Baja Claws and I like them a lot. Sand-great, Mud-Great, Rocks-Great, in the rain they can hydroplane pretty easily, Ice-from what ive heard they kinda suck

yes they are loud, but you wont get a tire with voids that big that are quiet

They do rub a lot but a few cuts...new fenders should be good. I'm also planning to cut the body and weld sheet metal to make things a bit bigger for those tires. Having big tires and a small lift has always been my dream.

I got stuck today in sand behind Westworld, they got some neat little sand mounts! Those tires just dug in right-away...WHoa! Also bent the fenders a little!

AND GUESS WHAT!!!!!!! My friend brought to my attention that 2 rims are NON-MATCHING!!!!!!!!! The other three (including spare) are the upgraded wheels they accidentally put on! So i'm gonna see if I can get 4wheelparts to replace with the nicer ones!
