Subject: Pitman Arm

Does anyone know of a special pitman arm for a YJ with a dana 44 installed
in the front. My problem is that the pitman arm I have installed. Place's
the Steering Draglink (rod from pitman arm to knuckle on pasengerside) over
the tie rod link bar(bar going from knuckle to knuckle). During Suspension
compression on the drivers side the Steering Draglink (rod from pitman arm
to knuckle on pasenger side) hits the tie rod link bar(bar going from
knuckle to knuckle). And on the stock pitman arm the tapered hole is the
wrong size for the 44.

Question is: Does someone sell a pitman arm for this application.

Please forgive me for any wrong nomenclature.

I've heard Curry sells a pitman arm for a YJ that accepts the Dana 44
drag link end. I don't know how much they charge. However, it is
possible to your your stock pitman arm drilled out (at least for a YJ
pitman arm). This would no doubt be cheaper than a new pitman arm.

I am in the process of swapping a Dana 44 into the front of my YJ and
I plan on having my stock pitman arm drilled by OR Fab.

You should just go to Costco. The tires are a bit cheeper and they
throw in mounting, stems, balancing & road hazard. I figure it saved
about $35 a wheel.

That's identical to the one I have (axle is out of a 82 wagoneer) know. My
problem is the pitman arm hole to hole is to long. So it actually put's the
end connected to the drag link over the bar going from knuckle to knuckle.

Hello All,

This maybe down right un-American, but is anyone interested in showing me and my wife any 2.5 to 3.0+ or maybe 3.5- trails this coming Sunday?

We haven't been on a run since mid December due to holiday activities and other family committments. We also need the easier trails until I get my new lift installed next month and learn more driving skills for this part of the country. (I'm used to sand dunes and mud - some forest trails).

We would be interested in going anywhere except Crown King - have already been there and would like to try some other trails before repeating that one.

Thanks in advance,

Subject: SATURDAY, JANUARY 27, 2001: A Clean up at Dynamite Road & Pima

It's mostly dirt bikes and ATVS that use this area, but we are all in
the same boat!
Linda

NOTICE: OHV Enthusiasts!!!

There are two very important dates to mark on your calendars!!!!

SATURDAY, JANUARY 27, 2001: A Clean up at Dynamite Road & Pima. Even
more
important than the "clean up" process is the "SHOWING" of OUR
NUMBERS!!!!
They want to GRAB some more lands away from the recreationists. This is
a
piece of State Land that the City of Scottsdale wants CLOSED!!!
Actually
they have petitioned the State Land Dept. to make a "preserve" in the
Granite Mtn area. This will EXCLUDE OHV's! The State Land Dept. does
not
want this parcel closed but will "fall to the pressure" if WE DON'T SHOW
WE
WANT IT OPEN FOR OUR USE!!!!!

The Clean Up starts at 9:00 a.m............ most clean ups we've worked
are
done at noon or shortly thereafter. Bring rakes, shovels & gloves. If
a
club wants to do a run in the afternoon it could fit into your plans to
"wheel" or "play" for the afternoon.

DIRECTIONS: North east corner of Pima and Dynamite roads. There is a
parking area not visible from the road which is directly below the 2
sets of
powerlines on the North East corner. There will be orange arrows with a
large sign saying "Volunteer Cleanup" pointing into the parking area.

Taking Pima Rd north, Dynamite is after Pinnacle Peak and Happy Valley
Rds.
you'll have to turn right (east) onto Dynamite Rd and make a U-turn
around
the median, although you'll see the sign pointing into the parking area
from
the intersection of Pima and Dynamite.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2001.......... VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!
6:00 p.m.
Desert Canyon Middle School cafeteria
10203 E. McDowel Mountain Ranch Rd, Scottsdale

WE NEED APPROXIMATELY 500 + TO "OUTNUMBER THE GREENIES" SO DON'T PUT
THIS
OFF TO "SOMEONE ELSE TO ATTEND". IT'S TIME YOU JOINED THE
FIGHT............. WE'VE LOST ENOUGH GUYS..... WE NEED ALL OF
YOU........... EVEN IF YOU'RE TIRED AFTER A HARD DAYS WORK. IF YOU
DON'T
MAKE THE EFFORT YOU WILL NOT HAVE LANDS TO ENJOY IN YOUR 'RELAXING
TIME'.

We are asked to wear a RED HAT or SHIRT.......... WE NEED TO BE
SEEN!!!!!
You don't have to speak.... just SHOW!!

DIRECTIONS: Go north on Thompson Peak Parkway off Frank Lloyd Wright
Blvd
over the bridge to McDowe Mountain Ranch Rd, then turn right to the
school.

Our "lands" and "trails" are being taken or closed every day. If we
don't
"get off our rocking chairs" we might as well get comfortable because
that's
all we'll have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For more information contact: Tom Bickauskas: TomB@t...

PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR EMAIL LIST......... WE NEED ALL
OF
YOU.

Dudes/Dudettes -

What am I missing here? I assume you're referring to the poor driveline
angle and resulting vibes of the rear driveshaft? How can a motor
mount/body lift have anything to do with the angle of the rear ds as it
connects from the back of the t-case to the axle pinion?

Please help...as I would love to yank the t-case drop from my YJ without

That is exactly what I did. It stopped the vibration and allowed me to take
out those spacers in the t-case skid plate. Now that I have an SYE what
little vibration that was left is completely gone.
