After noting that ive been idiling high for a while now (around 4k) I started to try to find out what the prob was....I bought a new air snesor (dont know the tech term) and that didbt help. With further inspectio I found out that my driver side motor mount was gone..well....the rubber piece, and it was pulling the engine, throttle cable insluded that way. I just bought a new mount and was wondering if this is gonna be a tough job for me. I dont have tons of experiece, so any would help...thanks

The 6cly. is a snap.
Both sides take about 30 minutes.
You just need to put a jack, with a piece of wood, under the engine and give it a pump or so to take the weight off the motor mount.
From there remove the bolts and R&R rhe mount.

Do ALL your mounts at once, including the tranny mount. One dead one can wear out the other two badly. So you replace the one, and soon later you replace the other two, which have already started to wear out the one new one, so you replace the one new one, which being worn, is already wearing out the two new ones... you get the idea

Each motor mount uses three bolts (one is built into the mount). Two attach the mount to the frame. The third goes through the motor mount and engine bracket. On my 4.0 YJ, this third bolt was inserted from the front and I found that the alternator was in the way when trying to remove this bolt. However, I discovered that you can remove the plastic "doohickey" on the back of the alternator instead of removing the entire alternator and that creates enough room to remove the motor mount bolt. The "doohickey" attaches to a couple threaded studs on the back of the alternator so you just need to remove two nuts and it comes right off.
