Are there any home AC techs in the club? If I gotta spend money I may as well "keep it in the family". My A/C at the house has been running way too much lately. I think it just needs to be serviced, but I'm not sure. I'm in North Phoenix near PV Mall.

I won't be able to check it out for you. Sorry don't have the Gauges, but if you need a new unit let me know. I can beat anyones price on a New unit installed. ;) my licenses allows me to install new but not work on them I am real close northern and 16th St. I have a guy that does my Tech.. but he is real busy now and lives in AJ.... if he is this way this week he may be able to check it out for you.... whatever you decide let me know..

Before you call someone in, have you done the basics, like change your air filter etc? Can't count the number of times I went on calls and it was plugged up air filters.

Good call but I have changed the filters. My guess is that its related to the previous residents neglecting to change them. I got up on the roof and took one of the panels off this morning. The coils looked like they were dirty and gummed up. I couldn't figure out how to get at them to actually clean them so I'm gonna call a pro. I may be over reacting, but I've lived here for almost 3 years and never had any maintainance done on the unit :o . Worst case, I pay someone to look at it, they say everything's fine and I get some peace of mind out of the deal.

one of my best friends and a fellow Jeeper (even though it is a station wagon)owns ARIZONA CLEAN AIR...480-998-1122. they are the best and the only licensed duct cleaning company in the state.. there are lots of companies that do Cheap Duct cleanings but the are not legally allowed to touch the Unit. they can only clean the trunk and if they do try to clean your coil good luck. they will charge you twice as much.
Trust me. IT is well worth it. I usually include a Duct cleaning with every remodel I do. Every Client has told me how much it has helped not only there Health but there Electric bills. If ever had a swamp cooler on it or still do then i definetly suggest you get it cleaned. If you have ever done Major remodel work in your house i again definetly suggest you get it cleaned. Lari will most likely answer the Phone...Tell her i (AARON QMAN)refered you and they will give you the best deal in town. Shawn is her Brother it is a Family run Business and they have been doing this for well over Thirty Years They have a Couple Companies They run from there SHOP. They do Custom Steel and Sheetmetal Fab. Some of the nicest i have ever seen. they make $10k hand bent Copper Range hoods to $10 Sheet metal Duct work.
