Not sure if right section, but trying to find someone that can /will make a thread adapter for 1/2x32 to 5/8x24.

Try Quality Mold in Chandler. I've had oddball stuff machined there.

Are you sure of the 1/2 32 part? I kind of know your hobbies and I'm thinking it might be 1/2 28.

Do you just need a straight bushing or does it need to seat?

100% positive its 1/2-32. If it was 28 I would have zero issues :(

It needs a seat, like below (and you link).

I'm sure you've seen this, but it's all I got. I certainly see the trouble you're having. Just about any machine should be able to make it. I'd have to buy the tap.
