We didn't get any pics of the last one installed, but he's supposed to be back next week.
This kit does not attach to the dash, but goes through the front corners and then all the way to the floor.
Still allows the fitment of all doors and tops, as well as access to lower the front windshield.

Can they be located in a way so the soft top door surrounds can be used?

I do not see why we can't. In the past I have just used the up rights through the dash that tied in to existing bars. Then add upper cross bar and spreaders. There are some pictures on our web page with this style.

When you snap pictures, could you get a picture of the dash? Specifically where the downtube goes through the dash. Also, what did you do about the factory duct work? Were you able to work around it or did you have to replace it with the flex duct stuff?
When I redo my cage I just might jump on this... the price sure is right. Especially since you nearly take care of the hardest bends!!

There are some pictures on the web page of the tubes going through the dash. You do not need to do anything to the duct work. You do need to trim the dash and body where tube goes through dash.

Take a look there for a few pics (about halfway down the page).
EDIT: on that page it says installed starts at $475. Which gets you the custom fitment, notching and full welding. Even a coat of flat black sprayed on at your request. :)
With this month's special going on, you're looking at a pretty good savings. Although Todd's almost always going to be running some sort of special pricing or discounts for VJC and other local clubs, in addition to just general discounts.

Looks great! If I could be a pest... one more picture in specific I would like to see... from the bottom of the jeep... where the cage mounts to the body. I would like to see exactly how and where your bolts came down through at.
Thanks!

I'll be at the shop tonight. If Marty's, or any of the other rigs that have this, is there, I snap the pics for ya, no problem.
If not, I'll have to hope that either Marty gets back soon or that he'll be so kind as to do this for us.
Typically, we'll either sandwich the body with a larger plate on the underside or build outriggers from the frame and tie to those.
It really depends on what the customer wants, but we prefer to do outriggers.
Both have their perceived downsides, though.
Sandwiching the metal with different-sized pieces is crucial, if that route is taken... same size acts like tin snips if enough pressure is placed on the area and simply shears through the tub material. Then you end up with a collapsed cage and some of those things that all the low-riders put on to make sparks fly from their cars. ;)

Yea I'll try and snap some of the underneath and a couple of more through the dash tomorow.

Thanks, Marty. With all the hassle in getting my wife's car back from the evil clutches of the body shop, I haven't been able to cut my bald head or skin my hairy, floor-draggin knuckles in a few days... until tonight. We were there, where were all the folks needing stuff done?
