I need to pull out the passenger side axle.
After removing the diff cover and rotating the tires to locate the small screw that holds the shaft in.
It appears that either the head of the screw was broke off, or after getting alittle better look, it almost seems as if someone put in some sort of pin that is recessed.
So my question is , is it possible to still remove the axle without removing the shaft? or if anyone has any suggestions on how to remove the pin i would greatly appreciate it.

I know somw of the d 35 had a C clip that was installed in the diff to hold the axle in.
It would be located on the splined end of the axle shaft inside the diff in the center of the carrier assembly. Maybe hard to see look closely but not sure if your D 35 has one or not.

Yes. You need to remove the cross pin to remove the axles. Most likely, the bolt has broken, and it can and most likely will be a bear to remove. Not fun for anyone.

what year d 35 do you have?

if it is after 1990 then it has c clips prior to that it bolts on at the bearing flanges.

I picked it up from someone, I have an axle leak so need to pull the axle out.
it looks as if it is a rolled pin someone put in there. not sure how to get that
pin out.

If it is a roll pin you need to use a little smaller punch and tap it through
