I just finished putting on a lift and new tires on the YJ and I want to get it dirty! Anyone interested in doing Bull Dog canyon Sat night @ 9:00. The trip is posted on the old site.

Thanks,

Sounds great but I won't be able to make it this week. If you should get no takers and want to do it next Sat., I might signup. Just recently put a new lift and tires on my YJ and would like to play a little too.

The trail is rated a 3.5, but it's not that hard. I've done it a couple of times in my Grand with only a 2" bb and 30" tires. The FS is going to be closing down the trail wed until it rains. So this may be the last chance for a mellow night run thats close to home!
Let me know if you need directions!

To get to trail #3554 (Bull Dog Canyon), take the 60 east to Ellsworth Rd. Go left or north. Follow Ellsworth until it turns into Usery Pass Rd. The trail head is on the right, about 8 miles from the 60. Look for a clearing and a gate. With the moon almost full it should be easy to spot. I think that there may be a big sign there to, but I'm not sure.
You can get there from the Bush Hwy by turning south on Usery Pass. I think its only a mile or two from the Bush Hwy.
As far as a permit goes, I think the ranger station is closed on sat. I've got a permit so we can still get in, but it's up to you if you want to run without one. ;)

I think, I'd like to check out the trail if that would be alright. Same thing for me I don't have a pass. So 9:00?

As much as I'd like to do this run tonight, I'm afraid I'll have to bow out. Have fun and be safe.
