Drummond Island run.

Hey everyone, so after introducing myself back in April I mentioned I had a run here back home on MI.

This was the best Jeepin I've done outside of AZ to date! This beautiful island, only accessible by ferry, is a natural rock. Composed of Shale and Dolomite. Temps were in the 68-75 range and made for an epic 2 1/2 days!

Hope yas enjoy these pics.

Very cool! I had no idea there were rocks to play on up there, I have ridden the island on a sled in winter but this is way more fun. :2thumbsup:
Rocks, water, trees and not too much mud, what more could you want? Looks like you guys had alot of fun!
Oh and that's a pretty bad-arse YJ! :smiley2:

This is what I remembered from mid-west wheeling! Nobody drove their Jeeps to and from the trails!

That's funny I didn't notice that when I first looked at the pics. :smiley2:

Is this Drummond Island? Only worked there for a few days when I lived there and a Jeep was only a dream!

Yes, sorry, Drummond Island. We had beautiful spring weather this year! Last year I bagged out because it was still snowy, cold, and drift ice was still floating on the Great Lakes.

Funny right! It was about a 7 hour haul from where we live to Drummond Island. And the nearest auto parts store is a Ferry boat ride and 70 miles away. So you take any and all spare parts you can think of. We did have one of the CJ's die on trail Sat, later to discover a broken sprocket dowel pin on the cam shaft. All in all, it was a fantastic weekend!!
