View Full Version : So what kind of grease do you use?

It's getting about that time to grease my new arms and DS and am wondering what you use in your gun?

I always went some place back at home to get lubed up and an oil change. Now I probably could get away with greasing my own joints in the parking lot and want to save a few bucks here and there. Might even change the oil if I can find a good container and a place that take the oil.

Anyway....

What do you grease your joints with? ;) :D Please include a rough estimate of cost when posting too. :D

AutoZone will take your used oil at no cost. Same with Checker.

I use mobil 1 syn tube grease as well as mobil 1 oil in my rig...

Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease, Royal Purple Motor Oil.

We use the 5-gal metal gas cans for transporting used motor oil. But, then again, all our vehicles have 3-gallon oil changes. :D

I use the mobile 1 synthetic grease also. I change the oil in my garage and use one of those black containers from autozone that holds 12 quarts. My friends laugh when they see me wipe it down and the metal catch pan, but it seals up fine, so that way I can store it standing up so it doesn't take up much room.

So is the Mobil 1 Synthetic good for everything...bushings, DS, Bearings, U-Joints etc etc ?

Not sure about others but I use it on everything.

So Moble 1 Synth looks to be the clear winner. :) Guess I'll be scanning the local NAPA for it this weekend, and a grease gun too. ;)
