Met up with Headspace and jim at the MickeyD's a little after 10am. Misjudged the time it took to get there so next time leave 2:30 before the Flag meet and I'll be good.
Anyway, after heading to Subway to grab lunch and a quick gas stop for me, off we went to the first trail. This pic is from the starting point on the Cinder's Entrance Trail:

Unfortunately it was closed down but it that lead to an awesome run through the Sunset Crater area. Here are some of the lava flows from 1180 AD:

Afterh this little picture op, it was off to the Cinder's Loop Trail. That trail led us through the pine and around some great scenery, including this picture of where the high desert meets the forest:

and where we meet up with the powerlines for part of the run:

After finishing this trail it was pretty early in the day yet and after some discussion Sedona came up and I suggested Broken Arrow. Both of them are relatively new to wheeling with this being Jim's first time out. After some punching in the numbers on the GPS and deciding that it wasn't too far out of the way off we went.
While airing down another YJ came along driven by a guy named Craig with a few of his friends. I asked him if they were starting the trail and if they were, could we tag along. See, Headspace and Jim wanted me to lead but since I was there only once, I figured we'd have the search teams out there hunting for our half eaten corpses in a few days. Fortunately they said we could tag along and we all had a blast:

Here's Jim and Headspace tackling one of the last obsticles:

Today was also the day I got to try out my new air compressor. It worked well for the the first 3 tires and then popped off. I actually was 2 pounds short in the 3rd tire but Jim and his trusty compressor saved the day. After letting it sit though for the recommended 15 minutes once it was all said and done, it still didn't kick back on. Once I got home though it was fine so no damage done. I just need to take a few minutes between each tire so it doesn't pop on me again. I was airing up from 8 to 26 on my 35x12.50's:

Overall we had a blast of a day today. I need to pick up the book that Headspace has, it was a great book with lots of scenic trails and future good times. It was really dusty but the weather was great, the company better and I even got a business card from one of the Pink Jeep Drivers telling me to call them and speak to a Chris Davis for a job. He was impressed with my driving down this obstacle (same driver that gave me the card):

I drove up it too. ;)
Lastly the pic of the day, my gratuitous ego shot:

I couldn't find any purty flowers, though we did pass by some pretty orange ones, too quick for me to really notice them though. Oh and my lowlight of the day, killing a baby rabbit on I-17 on the way home. Silly little thing ran right under my tire even after I swerved to get out of its way. Guess it didn't realize that the middle are of that section of highway was burned out until it was too late. At least it was a quick death by MTR's.
